How To Power Cycle Your Wireless Equipment

This document is intended to teach you how to properly power cycle your Fixed Wireless connection. There are two pieces of equipment that need to be power cycled, they are the Netgear RT311 router, and Wireless Power Pack. The Netgear router is the interface that separates your companies network from the Internet. The Wireless Power Pack provides power to the Fixed Wireless Equipment that is located on your roof or window.
The first step in power cycling your Fixed Wireless Equipment is locating the Netgear RT311 (Figure 1) and Wireless Power Pack (Figure 2 & 3). This equipment is usually located in or near your company's computer room or closet. Once you find the equipment, follow the power cords back to the wall outlet/power strip. Unplug both plugs from the outlet at the same time and then reinsert them.

Once the Netgear router is power cycled the lights on the front will blink for about a minute or so, this is normal. When you power cycle the Wireless Power Pack this will power cycle the radio on your roof and there is no need to see the radio when this happens.

After power cycling your equipment, please try to reconnect to the Internet from your computer. Your Fixed Wireless connection can take up to 15 minutes to reconnect after the equipment has been power cycled. If after 15 minutes you still cannot connect to the Internet please contact CyberLynk's Tech Support at 1-800-862-LYNK.

NOTE: Not all CyberLynk Fixed Wireless customers will have a Netgear RT311 as shown in figure 1. This is because the Fixed Wireless connection can be plugged directly into a server or another piece of equipment.
